Mariner’s Contest!

To celebrate Mariner’s Opening Day and the start of baseball season I’m doing a giveaway/contest. I will select two winners who can choose from:

1. A pair of Terrace Level tickets (some restrictions apply); or
2. $50 Starbucks gift card.

Want to play? Here’s how:

Simply leave a comment below about your favorite thing about baseball season between now and Opening Day, April 6th, at noon (PST). Whether it’s a favorite baseball moment, favorite player or whiskers on kittens—I want to hear about it! One entry per person please.

On April 6th, I will draw a name from a hat to pick the two winners. Good luck!

How to Prevent “I wish I would have done this sooner”

‘I wish I would have done this sooner’ is a common phrase I hear when helping Sellers prepare their home for the market. So, I’m putting together a series of tips to help you enjoy home ownership now (as opposed to just before you move).

I Wish I Would Have Done this Sooner, Tip #1: Have your home inspected every 5 years. While this tip isn’t sexy, and it will cost you time and money, it is a wise strategy to help preserve and maintain one of your largest assets. An inspection will help improve your maintenance plan/schedule (or lack thereof) and identify issues prior to them becoming more expensive problems. Condition translate to value, a home in great condition will get top dollar, so why not enjoy a home that is in great condition then reap the benefit when you sell?

Bellevue – A City with a Plan

I attended an amazing meeting regarding Bellevue’s future. The presenters were Kemper Freeman discussing downtown Bellevue, the people developing the Spring District (where the old Safeway distribution center was), and Sound Transit discussing light rail. Bellevue has an amazing future, but it will take time! Kemper Freeman’s project along Bellevue Way will be completed first—in 2.5 years. The Spring District and Sound Transit won’t be complete until the 2023 timeframe, at the earliest. It will interesting to see how the vision (and more importantly the execution) will evolve over the years.
